Farewell Farm – change of schedule for our schooling show…Our 2nd outdoor ring that usually hosts the 2′ and short stirrup divisions is too wet, so we have moved those classes into the indoor. That means that we will have to run one ring at a time. We are starting at 7:30 a.m. with the 2′ hunters. The “big ring” will remain in the big all-weather ring and begin following the last class in the indoor.

Oklahoma equestrians recently lost a dear member who put what seemed like were endless volunteer hours into the horse community.
Claudia Brown McKenzie, age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Claudia was born February 25, 1932, in Hackensack, New Jersey to Alfred and Laurena Brown.
She received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Boston University. Claudia was Vice President of nursing services and CCO of Hillcrest Hospital for over twenty years. She was also involved in her daughter’s McKenzie Stables, and in the administration and running of local and area horse shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred and Laurena Brown. Claudia is survived by her daughter Laureen McKenzie and her husband Dr. Brian Landsheft, and her grandson Will Landsheft, a student at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Claudia’s memory to the USHJA Foundation by going to the USHJA Foundation website.

Sadly, We Are Announcing The Death Of
April 18, 1928 — May 3, 2013.
Margie had been a member of OHJA for many years and served as the secretary and the treasurer for the organization. Margie was also a USEF steward for many years.
She will be missed.
Moores Eastlawn funeral home is handling the arrangements.
Margie’s Life Legacy is available on the Moores site, where you may send your condolences to the family, share a story of how Margie touched your life or what she meant to you. Margie’s family will be able to save these memories.
